After starting as a member of the Lloyd's Lab (reputable Insurtech accelerator in London) and being hosted at Station F (Paris), we now help 25+ clients cover all major commercial lines including Property, Energy, Political Risk, Trade Credit, Cyber, Casualty & Terrorism. Our goal is to help (re)insurers better analyse risks and make the right decisions.

With a strong international presence (UK & US) and self-financed growth (from 4 to 15 employees in 2 years), we seek to become the leading risk management platform for speciality risks.

Job Description

Within the DS team and working directly with JB (CTO), your mission will be to help our team collect, structure & analyze data. Your role will be key in providing the best risk prediction algorithms to our clients. You will:

  • Understand insurance pricing mechanisms (& the mathematics behind it)

  • Design models to identify & predict risks in a challenging environment

  • Implement, test & optimize the associated algorithms

  • Balance speed & quality with a focus on tangible results

  • Communicate insights to cross-functional stakeholders & provide ideas to improve the solution

Preferred Experience

  • Solid academic background from a top-tier Grande Ecole (Applied Maths, ML/Operations Research)

  • Proficient in Python, DS libraries (Pandas, Sklearn, Numpy...) & high quality production code

  • Strong analysis & synthesis abilities / Organized, self-sufficient & detail-oriented

  • Excellent communication skills (oral + written) in both French & English

  • Growth mindset / Ability to work in a fast-paced & hands-on startup culture

  • Self-motivated & available for a 6-months internship (end-of-studies)
