Job Description

At Allphins, we’re redefining how the world’s leading (re)insurers understand risk, and we want you to be part of it.

As a Data Engineer, you’ll build the systems that allow risk analysts at top-tier (re)insurance companies to make billion-dollar decisions with confidence. You will be responsible for designing robust data architectures, ensuring data integrity and security, and developing innovative solutions for large-scale data analysis in a cloud-based environment.

This is a rare opportunity to build foundational infrastructure in a market hungry for innovation.

What you'll do:

  • Design and maintain scalable data pipelines, enabling seamless ingestion, transformation, and delivery across the platform.

  • Enhance data quality by contributing to continuous optimization and rigorous testing, to ensure our data is clean, trustworthy, and fully leveraged for maximum impact.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams - product, back-end, data science, and analytics teams, to support new features, dashboards, and ML integrations.

  • Drive infrastructure improvements, proposing solutions that increase efficiency and future-proof our platform.

Tech requirements:

Must have:

  • Expert in Python, PySpark, SQL and Airflow

  • Strong experience working with cloud infrastructure: GCP or AWS

  • Deep knowledge of big data architectures

  • Proven experience managing large-scale data volumes through Iceberg or Delta Lake

Nice to have:

  • Great knowledge of containerization with Docker and Kubernetes

  • Familiarity with Terraform

  • Experience in API development

  • Experience with dashboarding tools

  • Data engineering experience: You have 5+ years of successful experience as a Data Engineer in a tech company, with a strong background in managing and optimizing data pipelines for production environments.
